Ellen obtained a Master’s Degree of Science from Into the Air Force right after nursing school and worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 7 yearsīefore attending midwifery school. Ellen received aīachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. She decided to become a nurse when she was 16 years old. Medicine runs in her family: her father and both grandfathers She loves her ongoing relationships with the women she worksĮllen is originally from Maryland. She hasĬommitted her life to the health and well-being of women always encouraging them to beĪctive participants in their care. On his rare days off, he can usually be found fly fishing for Alaska trout, working on old cars or woodworking.Įllen came to Alaska in 1997, as a Certified Nurse Midwife, with the Air Force. He enjoys creating a doctor-patient relationship built on trust and involving the woman completely in her care. He recently moved his home from Eagle River to the Valley to be closer to his practice and patients. Schubert returned to Alaska in 2011 and plans to continue to serve this community for years to come. ![]() He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.ĭr. After 17 years in the military, between 20, he was the Director of Pelvic Surgery for the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He received his Doctor of Medicine from the LSU School of Medicine in 1998 and completed residency there also. He grew up in Louisiana and attended Louisiana Tech University for undergraduate school. He has spent time in the United States Army as well as the United States Air Force. ![]() Schubert came to Alaska with the Air Force in 2002. ![]()
