It could just as well be a straight up wuxia with a character that somehow take some plant, medecine or has a visit from a god and both change his ways and have some kind of partial clairvoyance.Īnyway, great read and I cannot wait for season 2. Sure, Haweon has knowledge of the plot, of the characters, of what is brewing (basically the main plot), but her taking up the role of the villainess and changing a LOT of thing from the get go makes the story change so much and minor characters have more importance that it doesn't come up much either, or only to say "the main plot is this, I need to make sure to do this to protect myself" or "this character is minor, I didn't know that this and that, what a rich inner life they actual got" etc. It pops up now and then, but very faintly, to outline the internal struggle of Haweon concerning her identity. However, I will say that the isekai setting of the lead dying and being reborn in a wuxia novel is in the very far background after just about the first chapter. I understand that the premise of this webcomic is maybe not the cup of tea of a lot of people that are understandably saturated with the isekai genre. Wuxia setting with feuding martial art sects ✔️ I'm so excited what season 2 has in store.Īwesome variety of secondary characters ✔️ Gunwoo openly shows his affection for Haewon, he is protective of her and ofc he's another strong character too!Īnother thing I like about this series is the proper lay out of the world building, the character arcs are properly paced so it's easy to grasp the story and action. The ML, Eon Gunwoo, is so DARN CUTE! He's so refreshing from the cold, reserved MLs that I often read in Isekai. Haewon, the female lead (also the isekaied character), is starting to know better her place in the story, she is reconnecting with her family roots on her mother's side, and becoming more aware of her capabilities/ power. First 50 chapters focused on the backstory, world building, the connection of the clans with each other and a glimpse of the enemy. The only thing I have to say is: WOW! This is honestly so good, Everything I love about Isekai is here. Yesterday, I was able to read all available chapters. I started reading this in Tapas last year and stopped around episode 30 to wait for updates.
